• Q: Is it safe to talk to the other side’s adjuster without an attorney present?
  
  A: Generally speaking, talking to adjusters will rarely benefit you unless you know what you are talking about. Many people undergo stress after accidents and injuries and will often times receive a call from an adjuster the same or next day after collision. The most you can do at time of accident is render your documents to the police and exchange information with another driver. Do not make any official statements before talking to an attorney. An attorney should be present at the time you talk to officials. Often times, an independent investigation to reveal the real cause of an accident may be required. This will provide and unbiased analysis of a collision. Often times, if it is possible to prove that another party’s fault was more than 50% then you can recover damages.
