Loss of Eye in Construction Accident

Our client was working as a laborer for a construction company when a piece of metal from the mushroomed head of a sledge hammer ricocheted into his eye rendering him functionally blind in that eye. After we directed the client to call OSHA, the employer was cited for its use of unsafe equipment. We filed a civil suit against the employer alleging that the employer was aware of the unsafe condition and deliberately exposed our client to the risk of serious injury. The case settled for a confidential amount.
