$80,000 Settlement for Fall at Nursing Home Resulting in Facial Fracture

Our client was an 82 year old nursing home patient who wandered through an unlocked exit door in her wheelchair and fell down a flight of stairs. As a result of the accident she received multiple facial lacerations and a fracture on the left side of her nasal bone. We filed suit against the nursing home for failing to meet acceptable standards of care resulting in the injuries to our client. A settlement for $80,000 was eventually reached by the parties.
