$130,000 Settlement for Partially Severed Finger

Our client was a machinery operator whose hand was caught between rollers after a safety guard had been removed with the employer’s knowledge. As a result this accident, the client’s middle finger was partially amputated. A claim was filed against the employer alleging that the employer was aware of the unsafe condition and deliberately exposed our client to the risk of serious injury. The claim eventually settled after discovery for $130,000.
